Once Andre said to Oscar “I would do anything for you. If you want my life, I would give it to you”

13 of July 1789

Being Blind, Andre got shot for her by the bullet that was meant for her.

Andre sacrificed his life to save Oscar.

The last words in his mind were: “Though the time goes on and on all that sing the praises of life.

Do send my eternal love to the lady I miss with all my heart.

Oh! Those blue eyes!! Whose appearance looks like golden hair fluttering in the wind just like the wings of a Pegasus galloping through the air”.

He finally passed away so peaceful with the endless deep love for her.

(This is the scene that moves my heart almost painfully.)

I think that he didn’t have a regret as he died to protect her.

His death face was peaceful.

Oscar is strong, warm hearted and so beautiful.

Oscar was continuously giving warnings to Antounette, which were useless. She went through

Oscar is a woman with a strong sense of justice that began to be ashamed of her for being one of the aristocrats that sucks on the lower class people suffering from poverty.

She transfers herself from the imperial guards, which is just like displayed dolls in the royal palace, to the lower guards.

She never changes her attitude that she would make decisions for the life only by herself even after she was awakened to her love for Andre.

At the end she joined the citizens of Paris to battle in the revolution leaving all her aristocratic authority and titles behind.

At last she dies of a gun shot on the 14th of July 1789.

Oscar’s last words

“I lived throughout my life only following the truth of myself and without even a second of regret. Could I be any happier as a human being!

Freedom, Equality and Friendship. I pray for this noble grand philosophy to be the solid foundation of the history of human beings forever.

Hurrah! France!

Oscar’s death is positive in every aspect.

In “The Rose of Versailles”, it tells you almost philosophically about one ideal way of living a human life.

I wonder if any of us could live so brave for the justice without giving up on defenses.

She is the ideal character for me. Forever.
